On November 10, 2012 poker players can help less fortunate children receive a gift for this holiday season tournament style. A donation of $45 gets you a seat in the Fourth Annual Atlanta Poker Club Toys for Tots Knockout Tournament.
Maci Celli an APC member since 2004 and tournament director for the league since 2006 said, “We are one of the largest contributors to Toys for Tots, we raised over $10,000 last year.” She also told Atlanta Poker News that US Marines attend the poker tournament every year to collect cash, bikes and toys purchased from Walmart by the league and it’s players.
Toys for Tots said, “The Atlanta Poker Club has raised over $50,000 in donations and toys since 2007. We are expecting over 180 poker players to play in our annual Toys for Tots poker tournament.” Atlanta Poker Club has informed us that there will be a seating limit of 160 players max for the tournament.
American Legion at 2670 Duluth Highway Duluth, GA will be hosting the tournament and Mama Mia’s Italian Restaurant of Stone Mountain will be providing a $10 dinner which will be available during the first break.
